Our team in Corporate Group is looking for an Intellectual Property Administrator to join them. You will report to the Intellectual Property Counsel. In this role, you will provide advanced professional office services support for the Corporate Intellectual Property Counsel; interacting with all members of the Legal Department and outside counsel. Our preferred candidate will be local to our East Aurora, New York or Salt Lake City, Utah locations and have a hybrid work schedule. However, we're open to candidates who reside near our other US Moog locations as well.
To be considered for the Intellectual Property Administrator role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Associate degree in a related discipline, ideally in Paralegal studies, Law, Business, CIS, or similar.
  • 4+ years' experience in a similar role, to include familiarity with legal and/or Intellectual Property terminology.
  • Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures.

As an Intellectual Property Administrator, you will:
  • Act as the point of contact between executives and internal/external clients.
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately, screening vendors and outside salespersons.
  • Prepare TERs.
  • Facilitate internal communications by distributing information and scheduling presentations.
  • Represent IP Counsel by attending meetings in their absence with internal/external customers and legal service providers.
  • Develop and administer an efficient documentation and filing system for legacy and original Patent and Trademark registrations and specimens.
  • Assist in Trademark registration and maintenance process according to Moog IP policy including maintaining filing system of legacy, current and new trademarks, assisting in the documentation for new trademarks and coordination with outside counsel, operations and marketing for maintenance, scope of goods and services, filing strategy, specimens of use.
  • Work with internal employees and outside auditors/consultants to support tax inquiries.
  • Manage the NDA database in Connect, by assisting in uploading and editing new and existing NDAs and/or revising standard form NDAs. This also includes managing any program improvements and corrections to the NDA database by coordinating efforts with Moog IT. Notify employees weekly on upcoming expiration dates and assist in extensions.
  • Manage inventor award, including tracking and maintaining documents for awards, and award payments.
  • Manage Moog IP training, including production of content, hosting and deployment and compliance tracking.
  • Manage copyright Program, including copyright registration of Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and Image Library content.
  • Support information management including inbox maintenance, responding to patent and trademark process inquires and demands, update corresponding information in IP database, maintaining and deploying IP department internal digital filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support to IP Counsel and IP function, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and travel coordination.

The base pay range for this opportunity is $40,830.40 - $69,160.00 per year.

Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
