Intellectual Developmental Disabilities Program Generalist

Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full timeIntellectual Developmental Disabilities Program Generalist. The Program Generalist will be responsible for providing support and back-up for other positions within the I/DD team. This position will be cross-trained to back up the Eligibility Specialist and the Program Specialist. This position will also be the primary person to do PSW enrollments and background checks from start to finish.    

The Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and two years work experience in human services; or five years of equivalent training and work experience.

• Requires knowledge of the public service system for Developmental Disability Services in Oregon. 
• Must maintain punctual and regular work attendance.
• Must be computer literate and have the ability to type and utilize word processing and other software programs/systems.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with coworkers, person and other agencies.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass all criminal history check requirements and drug screenings.

Essential Functions:

• Receive referrals from community partners and internal partners.
• Provide applicants or their legal representative with the required application and assist with the completion of the application if necessary.
• Gather necessary documentation needed to establish eligibility based on standards in OAR.
• Process eligibility determination within timeframes established in OAR providing notification of eligibility to the person and/or their legal representative.
• Track the need for and complete redetermination of eligibility within the timeframe established in OAR providing the client and/or legal representative with required notification.  
• Review eligibility information for individuals moving to the county from other counties in Oregon and provide the individual with the necessary notification of eligibility in Union County.
• Provide information and education to Community Partners and Families regarding Developmental Disabilities Services.
• Assist Program Specialist in Completing PSW timesheets and updating eXPRS when needed.
•  Primary personnel for PSW enrollment.
• Perform other related duties and assigned.
