Harris County Resources for Children and Adults was founded in 1966 as Harris County Child Welfare to provide support services for children taken under the wing of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Fifty years later, Harris County Resources for Children and Adults still provides this support. But the now-county department has expanded services for early prevention, intervention, and adult services.

Integrated Health Therapist Overview:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Behavioral Health Services, this position will provide mental health services to children and caregivers in the Integrated Health Clinic.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Provides individual therapy and group therapy to children and young adults in the Integrated Health Services Division.
- Provides crisis intervention, including suicide assessment and homicide assessment, to children and young adults in the Integrated Health Services Division.
- Attends individual and/or group clinical supervision with the manager of the Integrated Health Services Division.
- Attends case staffing and coordinates services to meet client needs; communicates with the caseworker and family about clinical needs; and assists in the coordination of services.
- Maintains and enters data in the EVOLV client database system for reporting purposes. system.
- Acts as a liaison with state agencies, departments, and community organizations.
- Adheres to the Code of Ethics of Title 22, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 681, and the confidentiality standards of the Privacy Act of 1974, U.S.C. 552a.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- One (1) year of continuous full-time work experience providing mental health services to traumatized children
- Training and experience using a personal computer with a variety of software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Case Management Software
- Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) or Art Therapist Registered with Board Certification (ATR-BC)
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license (Texas) and auto liability insurance
- Must be able to travel between work sites if requested and when necessary.
- Knowledge of and ability to provide services to traumatized children and their caregivers
- Knowledge of the Mental Health, Juvenile Justice System, and/or Department of Family and Protective Services
- Knowledge of community resources
- Follows written and oral instructions.
