Intake Coordinator

MECA Therapies is looking for an Intake Coordinator to join our professional team. 

MECA Therapies is the largest pediatric rehabilitation provider in the state of New Mexico. Our mission is to strive everyday towards ensuring that our families and their children have access to the highest quality of care in the communities we serve. 

       The ECIC is responsible for overseeing and completing MECA’s EC initial evaluations and initial IFSPs process. The ECIC is responsible for ensuring that a target number of monthly evaluations and IFSPs are achieved based upon MMT goals and expectations. The ECIC will be assigned specific duties by EC Regional Director specific to assisting with quality assurance indicators required by ECECD. These services will be conducted within a variety of environments to include provider location as well as in home and community settings.

Education and Licensure        A minimum of a four-year Bachelor’s level degree in Family Consumer, Science Early Childhood or a related field listed in Developmental Specialist Certification Policy.

• Certificate of Special Instruction through the NM FIT program
• Completion of an Individualized Professional Development Plan
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows
• Proficient organizational and record keeping skills.
• Effective oral and written communication
• Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills
• Ability to train clients, family members and professionals.
• Exercise a high level of confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The ECIC will operate within Local, State and Federal Regulations as well as adhere to all MECA policies and procedures.  Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

Service Coordinator/Developmental Specialist Essential Duties:

1. Complete intakes as necessary
2. Complete CME’s
3. Complete all Initial IFSP’s
4. Assign ongoing staff and Team Leads (in conjunction with EC Regional Director)
5. Audit all files in the initial process for accuracy of data and file content.
6. Review all evaluation reports and IFSP’s completed by Family Service Coordinators
7. Train new Family Service Coordinators and Developmental Specialists ongoing as assigned by EC Co-Director
8. Provide observation opportunities for interns.
9. Participate in a screening per quarter and two outreach events per year will be mandatory.
10. Cleanliness of work area must be maintained on a daily basis; surface areas of tables, instructional tools and other objects should be cleaned after each session.
11. Provide services to all applicable counties within region.
12. Assist with maintenance of FIT client information in the MECA Database as outlined in MECA EC process.
13. Other duties as assigned.
