The Real Insurance Lady is looking for an energetic and experienced Insurance Agent to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is looking for a career in insurance, not just a job. Our agent will be responsible for prospecting new business and will also be responsible for maintaining existing relationships with existing clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospecting new business
- Maintaining client databases
- Present, promote, and sell insurance products or services to new and existing clients
- Manage customer complaints in a professional manner
- Follow up on customer leads and follow through on warm leads to convert into new business
- Maintain customer relationships at all levels (regional, local, state) to ensure continued coverage and customer satisfaction
- Identify needs of current clients so they can increase their overall insurance coverage
- Stay up to date on all industry trends and keep abreast of new regulations
- Continuously improve through feedback continuous improvement training continual improvement reviews
- Highly Preferred: basic understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Readily available to travel up to periods of 2-3 weeks at a time during work season
- Must be flexible & fluid based on industry changes
- Highly Preferred: Efficient in time management & work life balance
- Comfortable in quota-based environment
- In order to qualify for bonuses, must achieve minimum required quota
- Required: Active Health Insurance License in the State of Texas
- Mandatory in person training is required for first 3-4 weeks (a per diem will be allocated for those who are not local to the Houston area)
