Vanguard Medical is a durable medical equipment company that provides recovery equipment to patients post-surgery. Our products are intended to aid in a quick recovery process while helping to reduce or eliminate the need for painkillers. Our innovative products coupled with our commitment to premium service has resulted in thousands of happy and healthy customers across the country.
We are looking to expand our Order Intake team. This team is responsible for managing orders for our products by verifying insurance and doing prior authorizations as necessary.
Duties include:
- Verify in- and out-of-network Insurance Benefits via phone calls to insurance companies and checking insurance company online portals
- Enter new orders into the company software program
- Build new orders by creating the script, filling in specific fields and combing the script with the new order documents as a PDF file and uploading them
- Determine if an order is approved and what billing entity is going to be used based on entering the benefits and codes into an Insurance Calculator
- Approve or decline orders based on the Insurance Benefits and threshold limits
- Mark the status of orders in spreadsheets
- Submit orders to a third-party billing entity via their portal
- Review and upload delivery documents to the correct third party billing portal
- File the delivery packets by date order and location
- Ensure the POD file area remains organized
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma
- 1+ years data entry experience
- 2+ years in a medical office setting with medical benefits Verification & prior authorization experience preferred
- Prior DME and out-of-network billing experience preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace with minimal supervision
- Team player and adaptability to change
- Task prioritizing and strong attention to detail
- Heavy phone contact and large volume of work
- Must exhibit perseverance when dealing with Insurance Companies

Monday - Friday 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per year
