Insurance Authorization Secretary

Medical Secretary/Scheduler Job Responsibilities:

• Serves patients by obtaining prior authorizations and benefits for surgeries/procedures scheduled by the provider(s).
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Obtains benefits and prior authorization for surgeries and/or procedures scheduled.
• Contacts and notifies patient(s) with their estimated out-of-pocket for the surgery/procedure and date the amount would need to be paid.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
