Insurance Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Accountant equipped with knowledge in Vertafore's AMS360 to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Services Processing:

• Efficient handling of Direct Bill Entry and Direct Bill Reconciliation.
• Conducting Monthly Reporting to maintain up-to-date financial records.

Bookkeeping Services:

• Preparing Carrier Checks and managing Vendor Payables.
• Performing Bank Statement Reconciliation.
• Handling Accounts Receivable/Deposit Posting.
• Conducting a thorough GL Review and preparing Monthly Reports.
• Managing Producer Commission and Payroll Posting.

Financial Analyst Services:

• Year-End financial activities.
• Producing Year-End Financial Reporting and Production vs Income Reporting.
• Conducting Due Diligence/Pro Forma Reporting and Expense Analysis.
• Performing General Ledger Review.
• Creating Comprehensive Sales and Production Reports.
• Overseeing Producer Commission Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Insurance Accountant or similar role.
• Strong expertise in AMS360 and Vertafore software platforms is a must.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
