Your Role

We are hiring a motivated Instrumentation Technician to support the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting for industrial process control equipment, systems, utilities, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Conduct routine and preventive calibrations of instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on a variety of instruments used in process control, analytical labs, and utility building systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in instrumentation systems to identify the root cause.
  • Install new instruments and integrate them into existing process control systems or analytical labs.
  • Execute timely and effective repairs to restore instruments to proper working condition.
  • Write, review, and ensure quality and compliant documentation and daily logs, adhering to GMP and GDP regulations.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, I/O wiring and panel drawings, utility, process system/equipment, and P&IDs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including manufacturing, analytical labs, and other contracted services.
  • Assist with general lab duties.
  • Participate in on-call rotations outside of established shift hours.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in all activities.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent certification in Instrumentation, Industrial Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of instrumentation/equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs.
  • Analytical lab background.
  • Intermediate knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic fundamentals as well as intermediate skills in the use of hand tools and electrical maintenance.
  • Experience with pressure/temperature transmitters and sensors, utility and facility systems, refrigerators, autoclaves, pure water skids, PH meters, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong mathematical and technical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical explanations.
  • Flexibility to work on-call rotations and additional off-hours when required.
  • Travel is required. At PSC Biotech, many of our projects and clients are located in various regions around the country. Estimated Annual Salary (dependent on experience) $60,000 - $65,000
