Job Highlights
  • Ensure calibration, testing, and PM of all instrumentation, control loops, and interlocks - including documentation of control loops and calibration records.
  • Participate in HAZOP as PCT expert. Implement HAZOP recommendation to company standards.
  • Implement automation/digilization upgrades thoughout the plant.
  • Manage distributed control system (DCS) and HIMA systems to perform as designed, troubleshoot issues that are negatively impacting operations, OEE, safety. Off hours support necessary for startup or troubleshooting.
  • Participate in incident investigations along with the rest of the engineering team.
  • Proactively maintain and create P&IDs, loop diagrams, HAZOP documents, etc. looking for potential process and hazard issues and accuracy.
  • Particpate in safety/PCT evaluations for capex projects and other plant modifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical) along with previous experience working in a chemical plant.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS), preferably Delta-V.
  • Strong knowledge of SIS systems, preferably HIMA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating successful safety instrumentation engineering in the chemical process industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of facility instrumentation such as level transmitters, pressure transmitters, safety interlocks.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, MS Project, and creation and interpretation of P&ID diagrams.
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration for temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
  • Experience managing capital projects up to $100K.
