MEDICAL ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
Location: Provo, UT
Status: Full-time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pay / Salary: $48,640 annually

As a Medical Assistant Instructor, your role is to prepare and present lessons that are clearly tied to program learning objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaches and implements the curriculum, as assigned by, and under the direction and supervision of your direct supervisor.
- Plans and assigns student activities in the classroom and/or clinical settings.
- Is instrumental in identifying individual and collective learning needs of assigned students, being cognizant of the physical, mental and emotional status of the learners.
- Maintains records of student progress and performance, attendance and grades.
- Prepares, administers, and grades, written and practical examinations during course of study.
- Devises written lesson plans and implements them through lecture, demonstration, discussion, etc.
- Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to learning experience. Creates a student Academic Improvement Plan with student if necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years professional experience OR 10+ years of professional experience as a Medical Assistant.
- BLS, CPR/First Aid certified through American Heart Association
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; associate or bachelor degree preferred.
- Higher education teaching experience in the areas of assigned teaching responsibilities preferred.
