SUMMARY:
The Department of Management and Economics is seeking applications for a Non-Tenure Track Instructor position in Economics for the 2024-2025 academic year. The instructor will be required to teach in-person as well as online, including the Commerce and Dallas campuses, and various high schools in the northeast Texas region.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide instruction at the undergraduate level
- Teach up to five undergraduate courses in one semester
- Prepare syllabi and update course materials
- Teach (as needed) during the day and/or in the evening
- Work cooperatively with others in the department, college, university, profession and community
- Contribute service to the department, college, university, profession and community
- Contribute to the facilitation of a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and ability to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: A Master’s degree in Economics or a closely related field is required to teach undergraduate coursework. A minimum of 18 hours of Economics is required if the degree is out of discipline. PhD is preferred.
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
- Good written and spoken communication skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold current,
- College or university teaching experience
- Evidence of teaching excellence
- Prior relevant industry experience
- Related technologies, including MS Office
- Relevant professional credentials
