Job Summary
The Instructional Lab Coordinator will be part of The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering's (ECE) world-leading, laboratory-based instructional team as we scale to meet increasing enrollment and adapt content to serve online and on-campus learners. As part of the ECE lab manager team, this position will develop and administer project- and laboratory-based instruction. The role includes supporting and aiding faculty who are developing and delivering laboratory-based teaching. The Instructional Lab Coordinator will maintain personal excellence in educational techniques, technologies, and industrial practice.

What We Are Looking For
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology, or related field
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, including but not limited to:
    • Experience with EDA software, design and simulation tasks
    • Experience with electrical and computer engineering topics, digital system design, and/or HDL programming (Verilog or VHDL)
    • Experience with embedded system design (incorporating digital, analog, and mixed signal components), and/or assembly language programming

PREFERRED:
  • Master's degree

SKILLS:
REQUIRED:
  • Ability to work with UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Strong technical and professional communication skills
  • Ability to design and organize effective laboratory experiments
  • Able to effectively use modern office and web applications
  • Able to create, use and manage web-based content
  • Able to operate a range of basic laboratory instruments
