D.A. Davidson & Co., a leading full-service financial services firm with operations nationwide, is accepting applicants for full-time Summer Intern positions working with the firm's Institutional Equities Group. The Institutional Equities Internship Program is an 8-week program that will introduce interns to our business and the firm. Interns will work on strategic assignments assisting the Sales and Trading team with account management & prospecting, research communication and logistics.

Qualifications:

• Business, Finance or Economics majors with a minimum 3.5 GPA
• Junior in college
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Self-motivated with the desire to excel and ability to adapt in an intellectually challenging environment
• Working knowledge of business software (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• General level of financial knowledge and interest (financial modeling, macroeconomics, current events, etc.)
• Ability to start work in-person prior to the market opening
• Good judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
• Teamwork skills and strong work ethic
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving tasks and requests - each day is different
• High level of integrity, work ethic and desire to build career experience

Summary/Function:

• As an Intern you would work closely with existing Sales and Operations professionals across all of our Institutional Equities offices. Duties and responsibilities will align with allowing our experienced professionals to be more productive with their time, including taking notes on the on the morning calls and routine.
• This role will work in a team environment with a primary focus of doing account research and exploration, communicating with the research team and delivering summaries, and logistics such as supporting client interactions, calendaring, and data entry.

In this role you will:

• Research and provide presentation / research material for pitch books, memorandums, presentations and other projects
• Analyze a wide variety of client-specific projects.
• Supporting role for the Sales Team in terms of data entry and analysis
• Supporting role in Equity Trading Operations
• Work on various projects to support client relations
• Monitor and update contact database
• Assist deal teams with other necessary day to day responsibilities

$20 - $20 an hour
