Position Title: Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment Coordinator
Department: Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment
Reports To: Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment
Classification: Non-Exempt
FTE: 0.5
Salary: $20.35 - $22.40
Essential Job Duties:
1. Coordinate participant recruitment, administration, and follow-up for ongoing institutional data collection
• Assessment of student learning
• Institutional surveys
• Student reviews of teaching for faculty reappointment, tenure, and promotion
• Other educational evaluation projects
2. Prepare reports and surveys from institutional data collections and institutional data sources
• Utilize existing data sets to summarize content for collegiate and data-sharing consortiums, Common Data Set, college guides, and other requests for institutional data
• Coordinate the collection and compilation of data and information from campus partners for collegiate and data-sharing consortiums, Common Data Set, college guides, and other requests for institutional data
• Download, format, and prepare response summaries for student reviews of teaching for faculty reappointment, tenure, and promotion
• Assist with coding and summarizing institutional survey responses
3. Maintain Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment (IE&A) and other institutional websites utilizing institutional data
• Design and maintain a schedule of regular updates to the IE&A website
• Update data tables and other information
• Upload and link new documents
• Design new graphics and data visualizations
• Monitor institutional websites and provide current institutional data to campus partners for updating
4. Supervisory Responsibilities
• Hire, train, and supervise student employees
• Approve timecards
• Conduct performance evaluations
5. General Office Responsibilities
• Maintain office project tracking and attend weekly staff meetings
• Track critical deadlines to ensure reporting and requirements are met promptly
• Maintain office files, records, supplies
• Manage meeting arrangements (space, technology, menus, etc.)
• Contribute to the collaborative work of the IE&A office team
6. Other Duties
• Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community
• Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle
7. Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule:
Term: Year-round
Shift: 20 hours per week to be worked between Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in a related field
Experience: 3+ years of experience working in an office setting with similar or related responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience: 2+ years of experience working in a higher education environment; supervisory experience
Prerequisites:
Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check which may include: criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical. Whether a background check is deemed successfully completed will be at the sole discretion of St. Olaf College.
