The Awning Company is looking for Installers in the construction of Aluminum and Steel Awnings. Installers will be tasked with preparing job sites, preparing material to be installed, loading and unloading materials, digging footings and maintaining job sites clean.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites by unloading materials and equipment
- Measure and mark aluminum for cutting
- Dig, mix and pour concrete footings for awnings
- Assist Lead Installer in all tasks delegated
- Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times
- Perform clean up in connection with the jobsite
- Move from jobsite to jobsite as projects progress
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by supervisors.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Use various equipment, hand and power tools
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of layout tools and measuring tools
- Previous experience in installation or construction
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to and from work
Physical Requirements:
- Able and willing to work long hours as needed
- Able to walk, lift, reach, balance, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Able to work in outside environments, being subjected to weather, noise, vibrations, and job hazards.
- Able to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
- Display a willing attitude to learn from others
