Job Description
Summary:
Installation or repair of equipment and related accessories. A successful candidate will have prior training and/or experience performing equipment installation either in the truck equipment or related industries such as agricultural or industrial.
Must have good understanding of basic automotive electrical and hydraulics. Welding experience is a plus. Starting pay based on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Efficiently assemble & install diverse types of equipment such as, but not limited to: snowplows, service bodies, lift gates, dump bodies and other related truck equipment.
- Utilize hand and power tools such as a drill, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc.
- Efficiently complete jobs to manufacturers specifications
- Value customer relations and provide efficient attention to customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Interact with the parts manager to ensure all parts required to perform assigned jobs are correct.
- Be team oriented and possess a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Qualifications and Education:
- 1-year previous experience preferred
- Possess mechanical and fabricating skills
- Proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and related equipment
- Knowledge of basic hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems
- Ability to safely operate a plasma cutter and oxygen/acetylene torch
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Availability to work overtime on short notice
- Attention to detail along with quality and efficient work performance
- Regular and consistent on time attendance
Physical Requirements: while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, or twist. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
