The Office of the Vice President for Research is launching InSPIRE, the Institute for Strategic Partnerships, Innovation, Research, and Education, located in Panama City. We are seeking to fill the Senior Administration Specialist position.
ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for day-to-day administrative, financial, programmatic, and staffing activities for the institute. This includes performing long-range planning and problem solving.
- Assists the leadership team with administrative processes to include gathering of data for evaluations, records, annual reports, recruitment and hiring, and time and leave process while also maintaining data, completing special projects, and gathering research and information for reports.
- Serves as the main point of contact for InSPIRE through visitors, calls, emails. Prepare documents for meetings and conferences. Manages leadership team calendars to include scheduling appointments, meetings, events, invitations. Drafts memos and correspondences on behalf of the leadership team.
- Serves as travel representative, budget manager, HR representative, and records custodian for the department.
A Bachelor's degree and four years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with contract and grant funding.
- Experience providing administrative support to executive level positions.
