ABOUT THE ROLE

Roland Foods is excited and fully committed to growing our National Account and GPO Sales Team and we are seeking an experienced and motived sales professional to contribute to the overall growth of a defined customer portfolio with a focus on existing & new customers.

The Inside Sales Specialist | National Accounts & GPOs is a quota carrying sales position that will interact with customer leadership teams, Category Managers, and other decision makers to facilitate account growth with a focus on generating incremental and new business. The ideal candidate has B2B sales experience in Account Management, a results-driven mindset, and a desire to win. Expectations include achieving new and incremental sales in a widely diverse customer base, defending existing business, and providing top notch service from start to finish to create strong partnerships. The Inside Sales Specialist will effectively engage and initiate cross-functional collaboration with the following internal teams: Supply Chain, Logistics, Revenue Management, Business Process and Technology and Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support existing business and pursue new placement opportunities with the goal of creating incremental growth through direct and indirect selling activities
  • Conduct outbound new customer prospecting calls weekly and facilitate email campaigns and sales initiatives with strict adherence to established metrics and activity logging standards
  • Facilitate sales activity with customers and GPO members through education, relationships, and traditional selling efforts, utilizing business technology reports and data
  • Coordination with the Regional Sales, Category Management, Supply and Demand Planning and Logistics teams to effectively service customers and drive opportunities to appropriate channels
  • Develop a viable pipeline of low complexity opportunities
  • Assist in National Account & GPO Bids, RFPs, and opportunities
  • Initiate new program contracts and consistently renew existing program contracts for various accounts as needed
  • Drive unit volume growth and execute organizational initiatives
  • Create and maintain price locks and contracts with necessary customers to preserve and grow business
  • Document all activity around the customer journey and assist with further documentation as appropriate
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure all documentation is up to date in various customer portals such as trace gains, arrow stream, etc.
  • Participate in trade shows, travel to NY office and travel to customer meetings when necessary
  • Manage the order process for direct National Account distributors as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of prior Sales, Account Management, Inside Sales and/or Customer Success experience
  • Administrative and organizational skills with experience using a CRM program, preferably Salesforce
  • Organized, detail oriented with strong writing and proactive communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset that values taking initiative and owning solutions
  • Experience effectively managing time while working remotely

Preferred

  • 5-7+ years of experience in the food industry; in particular, selling to hospitality / food service / retail / manufacturing
  • Previous exposure in the GPO segment a bonus
  • Culinary background a bonus

SALARY RANGE

Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be $60,000 - $75,000.

This role is bonus eligible.

Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion the salary offered.
