SUMMARY:
The Inside Sales Rep is responsible for effectively and tactically managing important business activity on a daily basis. The Inside Sales Representative will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales and communication skills. This individual will also develop their phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers. Individuals in this position will gain a strong understanding of our customers, products, processes and systems. Creativity, resilience and passion are in essential for this role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make outbound calls to customers via telephone and email for qualification, cross-selling, up-selling and brand expansion purposes
- Establish & maintain relationships with key decision makers regarding all supply purchases
- Execute a consistent contact strategy across all targeted accounts to grow sales across multiple product categories
- Work with customers on over-coming objections and inspiring them to act
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, effectively earning new quoting opportunities
- Achieve expected productivity levels (ex: call volume, customer conversation targets)
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database and CRM, including select prospects
- Establish budget/potential per customer and identify capital expenditure opportunities
- Participate in training sessions where you will learn from coworkers and continue to develop your ability to add value to your customer relationships
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues
- Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position
- Reports to the Inside Sales Manager
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or three years related experience in Inside Sales or sales field
- Self-motivated and competitive with high enthusiasm; teamwork focused
- Strong problem-solving and objection resolution skills, work ethic and a high level of integrity are also essential
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key customer contacts
- Exceptional listener with excellent time management
- Display consistent ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Industry knowledge desired but not required
