Job Description:
We're seeking an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative for our Chandler, Arizona office to assist clients that are purchasing through our E-commerce platform, www.microchipDIRECT.com. This role demands top-tier service to both our internal and external clients, providing support, with a commitment that surpasses client expectations. The successful candidate will manage and support direct business using our systems, serve as the primary liaison between clients, buyers, and corporate, comprehend clients' purchasing processes, interpret reports and the data within them, and cultivate partnerships with field sales, corporate personnel, including our business units and clients.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer support for Microchip eCommerce Channel customers
  • Handling phone calls, online live chat requests, and email requests to support customer needs, including order support and change requests
  • Managing returns requests and addressing any other queries from customers ordering via www.microchipDIRECT.com - Assisting and training customers to understand our online services to improve their experience
  • Acting as a bridge between customers and the factory, including the sales teams
  • Participating in programs and campaigns to attract more customers and boost sales, which may involve proactive calls to customers
  • Understanding the customer's business and products to offer complementary solutions
  • Learning and understanding Microchip products and services

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service or a related role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with various clients with empathy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management, problem solving and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM service console is a plus.
  • Previous Inside Sales experience in the Semiconductor field is preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate communication with international team members.
  • The role offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in-office.
