LOCATION: This position will be located in the East Coast (REMOTE)

What does the job entail?

  • Capturing list of inbound prospects and MQLs provided by Marketing to qualify them as SQLs via cold calls and email outreach
  • Works in dotted line to the Territory Sales Director to ensure alignment

  • Daily cold calls to target customers
  • Qualifies leads that come in via trade shows, websites, and campaigns
  • Work with regional incentive programs.
  • Working closely with Monarch marketing team on their lead generation strategy and having awareness into the upcoming funnel of leads
  • Managing lead pipeline and coordinating direct outreach to outbound leads
  • Entering every lead and record of activity into the sales & marketing tools that Monarch uses
  • Creating a sense of urgency within prospects by having a deep understanding of the Monarch product and why it is valuable for farmers to adopt it by articulating the specific value proposition and benefits for farmers across different farm types and regions
  • Develop and utilize sales assets, including our spec sheet and ROI calculator to answer customer inquiries about savings, use cases
  • Successfully engaging with prospects and guiding them to a “close” by agreeing to a demo, where we can showcase Monarch Tractor’s capabilities
  • Having guided prospects to a demo, gathering the relevant details in order to schedule the demo and handing over the account to a Sales Lead
  • Coordinate internally with product teams and sales managers to successfully schedule demos either onsite in Livermore or at a test farm site
  • Create and maintain the sales playbook by documenting learnings, developing FAQs, and logging successful vs unsuccessful closing strategies.
  • Support the training and providing of support to our dealer network on the use of the sales playbook and how to close customers

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • 1+ year of practical sales experience, preferably in the agriculture industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering or related fields
  • Ability to clearly plan, set clear milestones and hit targets consistently
  • Understanding of fundamental technical aspects of a tractor and software products
  • Comfortable talking to new people and expressing ideas over the phone (remote engagement in a traditionally in-person interaction-based industry)
  • Ability to answer and persist through objections - Patient and unfazed by rejection, treating each conversation as one step closer to a close
  • Persistent, and gritty, with a knack for achieving targets
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong customer-oriented service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Willingness to travel as needed
