We are looking for an Inside Sales Manager, District Partnerships that is extremely motivated, solutions-oriented, and results-driven to head our remote Sales team. The ideal applicant will have a strong interest in educational technology, a track record of driving sales performance, and great leadership abilities. As an Inside Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in meeting revenue targets, establishing a high-performing sales team, and contributing to Clever's growth and success. This role will report directly to the Head of District Partnerships.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Sales Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of Inside Sales representatives to achieve individual sales targets
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development
- Design and understand the operational practices that lead to success
Sales Performance Metrics
- Quota attainment (this role will also include an annual revenue attainment goal)
- Work with the team to increase conversion rates
- Increase customer satisfaction scores
Team Development
- Foster a psychologically safe, positive, and collaborative team culture that encourages continuous learning and development
- Provide coaching and guidance to enhance the team's selling skills and product knowledge
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies
- Develop and execute plans to expand the customer base and increase customer satisfaction
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure individual performance
- Regularly analyze sales data and generate reports to track progress against goals
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Customer Relationship Management
- Collaborate with internal onboarding and support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Gather customer feedback to enhance product offerings and address customer needs
- Strong Pipeline management and hygiene
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Inside Sales leadership
- Proven experience in Inside Sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Previous experience in the education technology industry is highly desirable (but not required)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making
- Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $85,000 - $100,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $93,500 - $110,000. This position also offers a commission target, variable or annual bonus incentive. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
