Inside Sales - Building Projects

Summary:Come Grow with us!! Our Pine City Building Center is looking for a professional, customer focused full-time sales estimator and counter sales team member. The position will work with our team and engage our customers as they estimate projects and order materials. This position will ensure a positive customer experience, build project estimates and generate material lists, build orders, ensure accurate customer contact, and order entry. The position will also file paperwork, and perform other project data entry as needed. The position will also answer phones, support product, and counter sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reviews blueprints, plans and build designs.
• Builds plan designs and drafts - desired
• Works with customers to estimate Building Projects.
• Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Works with location staff to complete forms, completes restock, customer order entry, and tracks results.
• Talks with customers, supports counter sales, and store products.
• Solicits sale of new or additional customers.
• Checks out customers at register. Accepts payment and makes change.
• Reports to store management with complaints, concerns, or questions.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

• 1 year of sales related experience preferred.
• 3-5 years Lumber Yard customer service experience is preferred.
• 1-3 years construction knowledge (new home construction, home remodels, decks, and additions etc.)
• 3-5 order systems entry experience and order processing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and quote off of a blueprint preferred.
• Design and drafting experience is desired.
• Window and door knowledge preferred.
• Mathematical abilities to write estimates and complete measurements for customer quotes and bids.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work core business hours and extended hours when needed. Computer skills Entry of orders into various tracking and systems documents.

Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Must be at least 18 years of age
