Inside Sales Account Manager- High Performance Computing (HPC) Job Description
This is a salary and commissioned sales position. Where you will be responsible for managing and influencing a named account list of customers that build and sell High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters to Universities, National labs and large enterprise customers. In this role, you are expected to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within the customer's organization. You will make use of your industry experience to demonstrate how customer opportunities can be solved using Intel-based products and solutions. Skills required are relevant industry experience and proven sales history of meeting and exceeding customer expectations and assigned commissionable targets.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Win and influence HPC decisions in discretely assigned customers.
  • Build Relationships with key Intel partners.
  • Identify new business through account discovery.
  • Execute Intel Requirements: Training, Pipeline management, Forecasting, Reporting, etc...

The Role:

  • Build strong, direct relationships with senior business and technical customers. Candidate must comprehend Intel architecture offerings and fellow traveler offerings targeted HPC OEMs. Working knowledge of 5G and infrastructure a plus.
  • Be a strong trusted advisor in solving challenging technical and business problems towards the benefit of the customer and Intel.
  • Engage sales and technical resources both directly with the end customers and fellow travelers to achieve revenue targets and win new technology adoptions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
  • 1 - 5 years of a proven track record of successful customer engagement; focus on of data center/cloud, server sales or business development experience.
  • Capable of building strong, direct relationships with business and technical customers.

Additional Profile Characteristics Preferred
  • Excellent communication (including spoken and written English) business development and customer support skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (with proven track record of cross-group collaboration).
  • Familiarity of High Performance Computing (HPC)/ data center architecture, applicable standards, and the operational processes.
  • Understanding of HPC business models and key performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of HPC Request for Proposals (RFP)/Request for Quotations (RFQ) process and seasonality
    Comprehension of fundamental server and storage technologies.
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment and to achieve high quality results.
  • Ability to work effectively with eco-system partners.
