As our Inpatient Coding Auditor, you will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of inpatient coding within the healthcare facility. Your responsibility to stay abreast of changes in coding rules and regulations is essential for effective compliance monitoring. Daily, you will meticulously review inpatient records to verify that diagnoses and procedures are accurately coded using ICD-10-CM/PCS.

To thrive in this role, collaboration is key. You will work closely with the coding team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to enhance clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness. Utilizing your strong analytical and critical thinking skills, you analyze audit findings to identify any coding discrepancies. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities will be essential in effectively communicating necessary changes to the coders.

Your profound knowledge and expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS will be instrumental in upholding our commitment to excellence and integrity in patient care documentation. Here's What You Can Expect

+ Conducting comprehensive audits of Inpatient Medical records to ensure accurate coding, adherence to coding guidelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements

+ Serve as an inpatient coding expert and resource for the coding teams and other departments.

+ Develop and refine coding policies and procedures in collaboration with the HIM team.

+ Remain updated with the latest coding guidelines and regulations.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $20.91 - $38.39 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
