Overview:
Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking an Innovation Manager tu support a client in Woodlawn, MD. You will work with our client at and provides support in the areas of planning, organizing, managing, coordinating, and tracking of multiple projects designed to bring innovative IT and Business Solutions to our client. This includes working with various stakeholders to identify pain points, research innovative solutions and oversee pilots/proof of concepts. This role directly supports our Program Management Team working closely with client management.
What You'll Do: - Support the development and ongoing operations of an Innovation Lab working with various stakeholders from the client and other support contractors. May or may not include being a Performance Manager.
- Ensures that the Innovation Program meets or exceeds expectations by overseeing all program activities to include, but not limited to, schedule, scope, budget, risk and quality control.
- Serves as a liaison between the client and the company, providing quick resolution to issues that arise.
- Manages customer expectations regarding the program and related activities. Explores methods for improvement and makes recommendations to company management and customers for improving and/or enhancing the program.
- Actively engages in change management with stakeholders to ensure successful acceptance and readiness of delivered solution.
- Analyze pain points and gaps and make process improvement recommendations; implement recommendations as required; Establish and maintain a repository - related documents.
- Provide ad-hoc reports to address topics or issues as requested. These include but are not limited to white papers, options papers, executive summaries, SBARs (Situation, Background, Assessment/Alternatives, and Recommendations).
- Communicate from a program level with staff on various topics including but not limited to meeting topics, status reports, risk, issues, mitigation strategies, release planning, etc.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk analysis of identified risks on a schedule determined by client.
- Assist CMS management and staff in preparing responses to positive and negative risks, opportunities, or threats.
- Document lessons learned prevention plan or exploitation plan from resolved risks and issues or opportunities in an accessible manner for the use of staff and stakeholders.
- Contribute to Tantus Corporate Business Development efforts, to include planning, evaluating, and responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) from various government agencies as well as contract management documentation such as the Award Fee Self-Assessment and PMR reporting as requested.
- Experience supporting (CMS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
- 10+ years in program/project management, managing multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- PMP and/or Agile certifications
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training and experience
- Experience using Atlassian tools, JIRA and Confluence as well as Slack and the MS Office Suite
- Experience working across integrated product teams.
- Federal government agency work experience.
- Understanding of CMMI ML3 processes preferred.
- Experience working with agile implementations.
- Strong analytical experience and experience putting in place new processes/procedures to enhance business functions.
