The Innovation and Strategy Director for Cytiva is responsible for developing technology and innovation strategy across the entire Cytiva business. Working directly with business leadership combined with internal and external experts you will bring together strategic insights to inform business decisions to enable long term market leadership. In a market environment of high risk and uncertainly around future technology you will demonstrate expertise in conveying strategic insights to all levels of the business from R&D to senior management.

This position is part of the Chief Technology Office and will be fully remote role with the expectation of global travel. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you’ll do

• As a Innovation and Strategy Director you will support the end-to-end technology strategy process for the Cytiva CTO function - from vision through execution - to achieve sustainable growth. You will work with other strategic functions across the Cytiva operating companies and in other Danaher operating companies to deliver a holistic view of technology strategy.
• You will be a thought partner for the Cytiva CTO group and technology leadership across the four Cytiva operating companies. Working alongside this leadership to ensure the technology strategy is being considered and progressed through operational reviews and in other forums
• Coordination and leading of critical market work to understand and test technology opportunities within both existing spaces and adjacent spaces in order to open up strategic opportunities for Cytiva.
• Develop thought leadership on industry trends both emerging and established to ensure business is aligned to capitalize and establish a technical market leadership
• Facilitate workshops that encourage reflection, effective tool utilization and the development of deep technical, market and business understanding to generate executable options that are both organic and inorganic.

Who you are

• Business of technology relevant Degree
• 5+ Years in a strategic management consultancy role and/or evaluating the market attractiveness and strategic fit of new businesses/markets/domains in a high tech industry.
• Track record of strategic thinking, business acumen and execution for results
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with and successfully influence senior level management, executives, key clients, and stakeholders at all levels

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• MBA or other postgraduate business focused degree.
• 8+ years strategy and/or strategic management consulting experience within a global consulting firm
• Esperance of working on project in high tech industry, preferably biopharmaceuticals
• Track record of leading and implementing strategy in or for a large company environment.
