Job Overview:
Join a dynamic team as an Injection Molding Set-Up Technician in the fast-paced and innovative field of food and beverage packaging/manufacturing. As a key member of a production team, you will be responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of injection molding machines, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality packaging products.
Responsibilities:
1. Machine Set-Up: Perform mold changes and set-ups on injection molding machines according to production schedules and quality standards.
2. Process Optimization: Collaborate with the production team to optimize injection molding processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for efficiency and product quality.
3. Quality Control: Conduct inspections and tests to ensure products meet specifications, making adjustments as needed during the set-up process.
4. Preventive Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks on injection molding machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of set-up activities, production parameters, and any adjustments made during the process.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to achieve production goals and resolve technical issues.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in setting up and operating injection molding machines in a food and beverage packaging environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in mold changes, machine set-ups, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Familiarity with different types of injection molding machines.
- Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations and quality control standards related to packaging materials.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey information regarding set-up activities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to analyze issues and implement corrective actions.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following safety protocols.
