Position Summary
The Lead, Airport Operations Initiatives is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of initiatives across AO. This position will coordinate and manage multiple projects to ensure completion on time and within budget. The Initiatives Lead, Airport Operations reports to the Sr. Director, Airport Operations Policies & Procedures.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares business plan and project requirements for assigned initiatives
  • Coordinates projects, including but not limited to: INFORM Manpower Management tool, HUB manager tool, HNL lobby redesign, HNL ramp breakroom, baggage tracking, Mauka concourse planning, new fleet integration, and other improvements
  • Ensures assigned projects are completed on schedule and at budget
  • Participates on cross functional teams to execute plans and initiatives; coordinates work with various governing bodies and key stakeholders
  • Manages schedule, cost, benefits tracking, technical aspects, and customer impact for assigned initiatives
  • Prepares reports and associated communication for Airport Operations Leadership team and present updates on a periodic basis
  • Interfaces with vendors on behalf of Hawaiian Airlines
  • Invests in professional development
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree. In lieu of bachelor's degree, seven years of management experience (project, program, or operations management)
  • Three years of management experience (project, program, or operations management)
  • Successful track record of managing projects and/or new processes from development through implementation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation

**Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position.
