Individual Assistance Representatives (Clerks):
- Provide specialized clerical assistance to support personnel by assessing taxpayer needs and directing them to the appropriate individual or area in addition to controlling walk-in area traffic flow and demands.
- Identify, analyze, and makes suggestions for resolution or correction to reduce barriers impacting the effectiveness of operations and improve efficiency of the work area.
- Control reporting systems that track taxpayer utilization of IRS products and services.
- Examine returns, supporting documents, and monetary receipts for completeness and discrepancies, as well as monitor and track information for sampling requirements prior to transmission to Submission Processing Centers.
