Location Description:The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 155 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits®. Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams.
Responsibilities:Ingredient Operator
Starting rate: $26.10 per hour
EXCITING NEWS: Due to increasing customer demand, the Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS is transitioning to a 24/7 production schedule in early 2024!
Production team members will work:
- 12-hour shifts, either 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am (shifts will NOT rotate!)
- Work 3 days one week and 4 days the next week (either Tuesday - Thursday or Saturday - Monday with alternating Fridays)
- Shift premiums up to $1.50 per hour

Responsibilities
In the Ingredient Operator role, you will:
- Receive and unload bulk ingredients from rail cars and trucks
- Perform accurate, timely tests on incoming ingredients to ensure quality assurance and food safety
- Operate grinding and mixing equipment
- Maintain equipment to reduce/eliminate downtime
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety
The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following qualifications:
- Possess a high school diploma or a GED
- Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability and willingness to communicate with cross functional teams
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred
