What We’re Looking For…
An Infusion Nurse (RN) who reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for providing home health clinical services. The infusion nurse is responsible for quality, adequacy of services provided and may supervise staff as needed. The infusion nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered.
What You’ll Be Doing...
- Providing direct patient care as defined under the state Nurse Practice Act using sound judgment and critical thinking
- Implementing plan of care and treatment initiated by the registered nurse
- Providing accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process
- Conducting ongoing assessments
- Participating in health/therapeutic counseling, teaching and emotional support to the client and family/caregivers
- Observing client condition and accurately reports to the registered nurse
- Assisting the registered nurse with client discharge or transfer
- Assessing and providing client and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis
- Preparing, administering, and appropriately documenting actions taken specific to commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications. Observe, report, and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the registered nurse.
- Recognizing the need for and institute emergency measures in a rapid and appropriate manner, when indicated
- Participating in coordination of home health services, appropriately reporting the identified needs for other disciplines (i.e., PT, OT, ST, Dietician) to the Director of Nursing or registered nurse supervisor
- Performing wound care
- Performing all skills, treatments and procedures competently in accordance to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adheres to the policies

You’ll need to have:
- Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state that care is delivered
- One (1) year of nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid driver's license
- Car insurance
Even better if you have:
- Three (3) years nursing experience
- Community, home health, or medical/surgical experience
