Infusion Nurse - Centennial, CO

Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for an Infusion Nurse in the Centennial, CO, and Longmont, CO. The ideal Infusion Nurse shall provide primary patient care for specific patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services.

About the Job

Nexus HR is seeking Full-Time Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurses for our Centennial, CO market who will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients, including assessments, care planning, evaluation, and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate-site setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing direct patient care, administering IVIG, biologics, and other infusible or injectables as ordered, and appropriate patient education.

• Comprehensive Nursing Assessment

• Establish PIV access

• Access PIV & Ports

• Medication Preparation and Medication Administration

• Ability to travel to our other location(s) on occasion (Longmont and Thornton, CO)

• Triage infusion patient inquiries

• Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations

• Participates in performance improvement activities for enhancing care delivery, offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.

• Adheres to standards of safety and infection control in the delivery of patient care

• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties

Qualifications:

• Current RN Licensure by the CO State Board of Nursing, in good standing

• RN Degree, BSN Preferred

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience with a background in infusion therapy

• Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred

• Knowledge of vascular access devices and infusion therapies

• Knowledge of CO-licensed, non-certified home health agency regulations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with MS Office

• CRNI certification is a plus
