The Infusion Coordinator position will work in our infusion therapy center cooperative with the Billing Office Manager and Infusion RN nurses. The IC will be responsible for assessing patient information, scheduling infusion treatments, providing patient education, and managing drug inventory. Full-time hours working 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking patient telephone calls and scheduling infusion therapy appointments
- Providing patient instructions and communicating with the practitioner when indicated
- Managing infusion drug inventory levels and purchase orders
- Assisting precertification team with obtaining prior authorizations
- Completing and filing GIA patient forms into patient records
- Entering data into the EMR system, including patient charges
- Completing other duties directed by management
