I am currently recruiting for a Network Engineer (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) I for one of our direct clients in the US. Below are the specs for the role:
Job Title:Network Engineer (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) I
Location: Denver, CO OR Houston, TX OR Minneapolis, MN (4 Days onsite)
Duration: 12+ months
Job Description:
Looking for somebody with IT Network Engineering (30-40% Eng side) and project management background (60-70% PM side). Project Management duties include tracking the projects, coordinate with national partners and integration partners.
Engineering Side:
Routers: Juniper, Arista, Cisco 4900, Cisco 9000, 9910 series (the model numbers do not matter but they should know all these players in the market and how it works). Configuration skills of routers and switches.
Linux experience will be a bonus.
Responsibility:
-Hands-on IP router/switch/telephony customer premises equipment
-Design, configure and deploy LAN and WAN network connections, hardware, software and communication links and services.
-Optimize the network and systems services and troubleshoot any network performance issues.
-Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure to company standards.
Skills:
-Specific knowledge and 0 to 3 years of experience with Cisco and Juniper routers
-Knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications and routing
-Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 internetworking technologies
-Experience with protocols
-Firewall experience such as (Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Checkpoint NG etc.)
-Extensive experience with Cisco switches and routers
-Certifications such as (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are a plus
