Role:Infrastructure Engineer
Location: San Dimas, La Verne, Oceanside (Travel between as needed)
Type: Contract
Length: 1 Year to start, likely extensions (long term role)
Role and Responsibilities
Server Administration:
- Support the corporate and manufacturing infrastructure which consists of Dell servers (rack mounted, blades, blade server enclosures)
- Datacenter management
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Adhere to all change management process and procedures
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Schedule and perform server or network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network
- Ensure security through access controls
- Upgrade hardware with new releases and models
- Develop expertise on new technologies
- Create internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
Network Administration:
- Support the corporate and manufacturing infrastructure which consists of Cisco 4510, 4507, 3750, 3850, 3945, 4500x, 6509s, 6807, Nexus 5548, 5596, ASR 1002, 9300, 9400, 9500
- Schedule and perform network maintenance, repair, and code upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network
- Work with local Engineering, Facilities Operations, and/or colocation vendors while turning up multiple/remote sites and for decommissioning of sites
- Adhere to all change management process and procedures
- Configure new VLANs/troubleshoot existing VLANs on campus
- Proactively contribute to documentation, update Solarwinds monitoring tools and network diagrams on regular basis
- Configure WLAN using Aruba controller, IAPs(controller-less), Client
- Turning up multi-homed DIA and MPLS circuits throughout the globe using eBGP/iBGP/OSPF at data centers as well as regional offices through vendors such as Telecommunication/Level3/CFN/Telecommunication/Comcast
- Work on setting up remote offices, configure, deploy and turn up network hardware including wireless setup
- Configure/change firewall rules on Palo Alto Networks.
- Create entries on DNS, Cisco GSS for global DNS entries
- Proven experience as a server administrator, network administrator, or similar role in an enterprise environment
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN,WAN), and servers
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a GxP or regulated environment
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) is a plus
- Active Directory, Dell Servers, SAN, Windows Server, VMware, Datacenter management, UPS management, Cable management, Cisco switching and routing

The salary range provided for this contract role represents our good faith estimate for this position. Within the range, individual offers will vary based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process (W2 or C2C).
