LTU IT Security Specialist Job Posting Information
This is advanced and highly technical work is focused on the IT security of public utility infrastructure assets. Work involves developing and revising IT security policies and procedures. Work also involves ongoing reviews of operation data for security compliance and detecting anomalies. This position will coordinate with IT Networking and System staff to ensure critical infrastructure has high availability and layers of IT security in place. This position will also work with utility infrastructure staff to document procedures for industry compliance reports.
Desired: Knowledge of IT security concepts and standards; Experience with security log review and analysis; Experience performing security audits and preparing reports. Knowledge of penetration testing tools, security scanners, firewalls, VPN, and networking a plus.

Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements

To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week.
To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
