Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for understanding application functionality, documenting test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria, and assisting in automating tests for those test cases. Able to collaborate with business, project, and development stakeholders to understand new and existing features and functionality. Document test results for automated and manual tests. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the development of automated testing methods for existing and new applications. The QA Automation Specialist will be responsible for identifying procedures and scenarios where quality control can reduce defect and error rates. The Specialist will also be assisting in identifying and resolving issues in production systems and ensuring related test scenarios are included in later regression testing. The ability to solve problems and apply creative thinking skills are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Meeting with the software development teams to discuss acceptance test cases.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve quality.
  • Contributing to the creation of automated software test procedures.
  • Reviewing bug reports and highlighting areas to improve quality.
  • Writing automated tests for UX and API test cases using industry standard test frameworks, such as Selenium.
  • Familiar with software development practices and databases.
  • Troubleshooting automation software and test procedures.
  • Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with C# and JavaScript.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Understanding of bug fixing and testing protocols.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
  • Good project management skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
  • Previous experience working in a QA or support role preferred.
  • Familiarity with software and database development.
