Purpose and Scope
The Information Technology Manager will oversee all IT Operations and verify that technology processes, policies and procedures are aligned with company standards. The IT Manager will provide first-level technical and functional support for the Wilson local and wide area network, operating system, computers & devices and business software with the purpose of maintaining high availability, integrity and up-time. Providing design, upgrades, implementation and maintenance of our SQL database. Install and configure new computers, peripheral devices, network equipment, and software. Provide administrative, decision, and project support on IT documentation, projects, and new implementations. Staying informed of current and emerging technologies analyzing for application within the Wilson IT environment.
Primary Responsibilities and Functions
- In a timely manner, respond to user requests by providing first level technical and functional support for the Wilson Company technology stack including TrulinX ERP system, cloud based applications, the MS Office Suite of applications, the Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, and computer and peripheral components.
- Serve as the single escalation point for IT troubleshooting, including laptop repairs, email and mobile device support, conference room setup, hardware and networking equipment diagnostics, and software and applications support.
- Oversee integration of software and applications.
- Establish and maintain applicable software and application security controls.
- Implement network hardening measures to protect against potential cyber threats and reinforce data protection
- Monitor and analyze space usage, system performance and tune/recommend query improvements, Maintain data integrity and availability. Provide GAP analysis, Metrics, KPIs, Configuration Management and documentation of systems.
- Install and configure new software, computers, or peripheral equipment.
- Maintain existing software and hardware by making changes, applying updates, installing drivers, or performing simple repairs as needed to hardware including installing replacement parts or components.
- Maintain suitable records and technical documentation regarding equipment inventory, software licensing, and knowledgebase information.
- Manage IT vendors, consultants, licenses, and service level agreement support.
- As needed, conduct training sessions on software applications and new operational procedures to improve efficiencies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
2-5 years’ experience providing computer and network technical support for a multi-location company.
5-7 years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration required.
3-5 years of management/leadership experience required.
Ability to identify need and use-case opportunities and apply appropriate software and hardware solutions.
Working knowledge and understanding of computer security principles and their application using a combination of hardware and software.
Must be highly proficient with SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Execution Plans, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Able to document best practices for queries, configurations, databases, connections, and security.
Strong functional knowledge of Excel, Access, and Visio to maintain records and create visuals. Knowledge of Sharepoint and TrulinX a plus.
Good working knowledge of LAN/WAN networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory (AD) administration, and WAN transport technologies.
Good verbal and written skills.
Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical constituents, both internal and external.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study is required.
Work Shift and Environment
Most work is completed in a business office, warehouse and shop environment. Expect heavy phone use. The position may also require on-site work with customers, vendors and other business partners – some overnight travel may be required.
Occasional stooping, bending, leaning, and working under desks.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. May be asked to carry weight up/down one flight of stairs.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
