Summary

Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing Information Systems Security policies, standards, and methodologies. Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system. Provides configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Supports security authorization activities in compliance with NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Active DoD TS//SCI Security Clearance with Poly is required.

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Jr.

• Two (2) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of a similar scope, type, and complexity is required with a Bachelor's degree as described above.
• Four (4) years of ISSO experience is required with a High School Diploma.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 1 or higher required.

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Mid

• Five (5) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of a similar scope, type, and complexity is required with a Bachelor's degree as described above.
• Nine (9) years of ISSO experience is required with a High School Diploma.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 1 or higher is required.
• Experience with at least one (1) of the following areas: current security tools, hardware/software security implementations, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Senior

• Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of a similar scope, type, and complexity is required with a Bachelor's degree as described above.
• Fourteen (14) years of ISSO experience is required with a High School Diploma.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 1 or higher is required.
• Experience with at least two (2) of the following areas: current security tools, hardware/software security implementations, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Principal

• Fifteen (15) years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of a similar scope, type, and complexity is required with a Bachelor's degree as described above.
• Nineteen (19) years of ISSO experience is required with a High School Diploma.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 1 or higher is required.
• Experience with at least three (3) of the following areas: current security tools, hardware/software security implementations, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.
