SAIC is seeking a cybersecurity professional for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSE) hybrid position supporting our program within NOAA. We want you to join our qualified and diverse team of professionals where you can apply your talents to take our team to new levels of performance.

You will work hand-in-hand with the customer team as well as SAIC teammates in the following functions:

 

In this hybrid ISSO/ISSE role, the responsibilities include:

• Conduct technical evaluations of Information systems design, and information security aspects and accreditation
• Perform vulnerability assessments
• Review requests for software installation and conduct technical risk assessments on software implementation
• Coordinate and track security action requests and report status to senior managers
• Assist customer staff in resolving operational security issues involving vendors who support the program
• Analyze, modify when necessary and maintain the Program’s operational security posture
• Conduct and analyze auditing requirements Splunk weekly
• Work as part of an integrated team to implement, assess, and sustain cybersecurity controls for systems and applications within satellite ground systems to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
• Create and maintain system RMF body of evidence documentation in support of assessment and authorization activities (e.g., System Security Plan, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, Plan of Action and Milestones, etc.)
• Utilize a combination of automated tools and manual methods to audit systems, identify atypical activities, and respond in accordance with system incident response plans
• Coordinate duties and efforts with information technology and security staff to ensure we maintain a healthy and comprehensive cybersecurity program

Qualifications

• Security certifications such as a CISSP, CISM, or CISA
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• BS degree in STEM related field and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with various endpoint security, vulnerability, and enumeration tools (e.g., Tenable Nessus, ACAS, Splunk, ClamAV)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience as an ISSO/ISSE
• High level of complex problem solving skills

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
