Nature of Work
To support MIS with all facets of the Information Technology field. Will act as support for our HCA facilities, including technical site support, server maintenance, and backup management. This position will actively work with vendors to make recommendations on software and system changes as needed, as well as ongoing project communications. Minimal need to travel, although some facilities require infrequent local site visits, for equipment installations or general troubleshooting. This position will require work utilizing virtual machines, networking architecture and implementation, and requires familiarity with various protocols. It is an added benefit for the individual to have a general understanding of industry standards such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and ISO. It would also be beneficial for the individual to be familiar with HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other regulations such as GLBA. This role supports the DHHR/MIS with several ongoing projects and all new implementations as they develop. This role is responsible for researching new and existing software applications to best advise on potential improvements that could be made. Additional duties as assigned.
