Purpose:
- Atlantic CommTech, a Valkyrie Enterprise company, has an immediate need for an Information System Security Manager to manage a cyber security program in support of the US Air Force at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX (or possible other Air Force installations). May support OCONUS work.
Job Description:
- Provide cybersecurity and information assurance for the system and shall be capable of solving major problems in the field and fully support the program office specific to cybersecurity.
- Serve as the authorizing officer for all an operating unit's cyber security issues.
- Establish, document, and monitor an operating unit’s cyber security program implementation plan, and ensures compliance with DOD management policies.
- Apply cybersecurity policies and technical cybersecurity protection measures to a closed-network system.
- Research and author policies governing all aspects of Information Assurance and System Security on Air Force equipment.
- Conduct virus scanning, vulnerability scanning, auditing, incident response, and configuration management/checks on information systems.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Will require travel to multiple NATO locations, multiple times a year.
Qualifications:
- Must have a BS degree and at least 8 years' experience OR a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 12 years' experience in the application of information assurance principles and discipline.
- Must have experience with the DoD Risk Management/Assessment & Authorization processes.
- Must have a CISSP Certification or an equivalent IAM Levell II Certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and strong verbal communication skills highly preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Top Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance.
- Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 25% domestic and international.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or aircraft shelter environment.
- Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
- Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
