Larry Kutscher is Chief Executive Officer of A Place for Mom. Larry is a veteran CEO with over 30 years of experience leading digital, technology and service businesses through significant periods of growth and value creation. Prior to this role, he served as Chief Executive Officer of TravelClick, where he drove the company's overall strategic vision and helped increased the company's value from approximately $300 million to more than $1.5 billion over eight years.

A Place for Mom has security monitoring and vulnerability management systems that generate important data which needs to be reviewed and processed. We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to own the output of these and other systems and who will interpret that data to help us achieve our goal of zero security incidents. One of your objectives will be to work with others to ensure that any critical vulnerability you find is remediated within one day.
Who you are:
You are an experienced and results-oriented Information Security Analyst who can work cross-functionally to develop and implement security improvements and safeguards which will protect A Place for Mom's assets, employees, and customers.
What you will do:
- Incorporate A Place for Mom Values into each customer and co-worker interaction.
- Perform configuration, network, and application technical vulnerability assessments, identify vulnerabilities, validate their relevance, and work with teams to remediate them.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to alerts from automated logging and monitoring tools, including Sophos Central and Alert Logic, AWS Security Hub, AWS Systems Manager, and Cisco Duo Security .
- Respond to security related requests, events, and incidents; perform triaging and investigation as needed; and provide guidance or remediation.
- Analyze security threats, vulnerability assessments, and audit results to identify the root cause and recommend or implement security solutions that enable business objectives.
- Collaborate with other teams to support response efforts to security-related findings or concerns and drive to resolution.
- Analyze mean time to remediation, incident response times, and other security metrics and provide assessment reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions and improved security processes.
- Evangelize a culture of security to the rest of the company through education, support, and empathy.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Strong knowledge and 2+ years' experience in:
- TCP/IP and other network protocols
- Computer systems and their security functions including authentication, access control, and auditing
- Securing Windows and Unix-based environments
- Anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering
- AWS and Azure environments and their security
- Scripting with Powershell, Bash, AWS CLI, some Cloudformation and Terraform
- Hands-on experience with security systems like firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management Systems, Risk Registries and other solutions.
- Dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills and ability to find creative solutions with a focus on delivering results.
- Work Directly with the Security Engineer, in open discussion to help resolve security risks, or new system enablements
- Organized and strong attention to detail.
- Solid Excel skills including pivot tables.
- Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- CISSP/CISA/Security+/Network +/CWAPT/OSCP/CEH or other security certification is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or 2-4 years of relevant or equivalent experience in Information Security, computer science, systems engineering, or information technology.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 + 10% Bonus
