Information Security Analyst
Position Overview:
Bloom, the insurance industry’s trusted growth partner, is looking for an experienced and dedicated Information Security Analyst II. Analysts are responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support Cybersecurity initiatives. This is a critical security role that provides support for security & IT applications/services to the entire organization.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who can:
- Monitor the company’s systems and network for security breaches and investigate security breaches, if applicable.
- Review new and existing systems to ensure baseline security requirements are met and to recommend security enhancements.
- Collaborate with staff and other business components to develop security controls and solutions for complex business systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Make recommendations to managers and senior executives about security advancements to best protect the company’s systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Information Security processes and controls.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training programs for employees.
- Provide advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree information technology, cybersecurity, MIS or a related field or a minimum of four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 3 +years of experience in Cybersecurity
- General knowledge across common IT/security fundamentals, such as networking, network security, servers, applications, email gateways, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.), systems, data protection, and SaaS products.
- Experience with PC and network setup, maintenance, and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux administration.

- Excellent sense of IT fundamentals and industry best practices
- Knowledge of PC’s, Windows software, security fundamentals
- Collaborating with engineers, management and other team members to complete projects on time
- Technological skills required with knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment.
- Knowledge of operational security tools such as: data loss prevention, email protection systems, privileged access management, hardware authentication devices, next-gen antivirus, multi-factor authentication solutions, etc.
