Infection Prevention Specialist- Corporate Level

WLC Management Firm, LLC, is searching for an Infection Prevention Specialist at the Corporate level. This position is designed for an individual with a degree in Public Health or an RN that chooses to specialize in Infection Prevention.

Successful candidate will provide Infection Prevention directives and oversight to 18 long term care facilities. While Covid originally prompted the IP position in long term care facilities, the overall IP Program will be the focus.

Responsibilities will include monitoring all aspects of Infection Prevention in the various facilities. Our EHR allows easy views of the monitoring tools without constant traveling to the locations. The IP does work from various locations determined by need of the location. The Infection Preventionist/DON at each location is responsible for Antibiotic Stewardship - working directly with resident, physician, staff in determining best course of action/treatment; Infection Control - provide internal training and oversight to all facility staff to ensure that proper protocol is being followed in regards to Infection Prevention; following resident closely to determine improvements/regression and addressing accordingly with physician; Covid Processes - Provides ongoing training to all staff in regards to covid infection control; coordinates and oversees covid testing and vaccinations; provides data to home office for reporting purposes. And of course appropriate documentation for all areas is required!

This individual is also responsible for oversight of current required NHSN reporting as well as completing required Covid Vaccination Reporting.

We offer competitive wages and benefits. We anticipate a wage range of $40/hr to $50/hr. Wage will be negotiable based on successful candidates Infection Prevention experience as well as level of education.
