Title: Clinical Nurse Educator/ Infection Control Nurse

Position Description:
The Clinical Nurse Educator/ Infection Control Nurse provides clinical education and evaluation to nursing and patient care staff and facilitates required training to nursing staff. Collaborates with medical practitioners to incorporate nursing processes into the plan of care for a specialized group of patients. Performs direct specialty nursing services to patients as required, ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards and all related company policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position is also a Registered Nurse responsible for coordinating the activities of the Infection Control Program, assuming direct responsibility for infection surveillance and reporting, and providing technical support and education for the hospital staff.

Education: A graduate of an appropriately accredited school of nursing, is licensed by the State to practice as a Registered Nurse and demonstrates an understanding of the principles of epidemiology and infectious disease in the hospital. MSN preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and experience with Infection Control preferred. Nursing leadership in training and formulating curriculum preferred.
Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations and all other state and federal regulatory standards
