The Resource Teacher (Float Teacher) position is Monday-Friday with a stable schedule, Full Time benefits package, and can lead to other position such as lead or assistant teacher if desired. Resource Teachers support all classrooms (infant, toddler, preschool, pre-k, school age) throughout the day and get to know all the children, faculty and school processes.
The Goddard School is an industry-leading child-care center for children from six weeks to six years. At Goddard, children are encouraged to develop at their own pace in a nurturing environment, lovingly guided by our highly skilled, professional teachers. Our school has infant, toddler, preschool, pre-k and school age programs. By using the most current and academically endorsed methods, the FLEX Learning Program focuses on developing seven Learning Domains: personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematical thinking, scientific thinking, social studies, creative expression and physical development. Our program for exceptional early childhood education ensures children have fun while learning, and is aimed at preparing them with skills and aptitudes needed for success in the 21stcentury.
If you have experience in early childhood with a degree, you will be considered for a Lead Teacher position. If you have do not have much experience as a childcare/daycare teacher or do not have a degree, you will be considered for an Assistant Teacher/Float position.

Teacher Job Duties:
- Meet the individual needs of the children
- Participate in staff and training meetings
- Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
- Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
- Present expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
- Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
- Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
- Build teamwork
- Use assessment tools
- Commit to continuing education
Assistant Teacher Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Some experience working with children
Resource (Float) Teacher Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
