Job Description
Elevate your role as an Infant/Toddler Teacher II in Early Head Start! Serving as a primary caregiver for up to four children aged eight weeks to three years, this role includes planning and conducting developmentally appropriate activities. Foster growth through relationship-building, problem-solving, and social skill development. Collaborate with Early Childhood Programs, working with typically developing children, those with disabilities, and families to enhance parental involvement. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES (including but not limited to):
- Develops and maintains an individualized curriculum that meets program goals.
- Maintains a healthy and safe learning environment that is developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive.
- Build positive relationships with families and promote parent involvement in the classroom.
- Professionally promotes EHS in the community and builds strong working relationships with collaborators.
- Knowledge of EHS Performance Standards, licensing regulations, state requirements, and SCF policies and procedures.
- Attend required meetings and follow occupational disease prevention regulations.
REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS (including but not limited to):
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of experience with infants/toddlers.
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with a focus on infants and toddlers.
- Interacting with infants/toddlers by lifting, bending, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
- Tolerating bodily fluids, communicable diseases, and moderate to loud noise levels; some travel may be required.
